1.  The clock is ticking, Your eyes are blinking, Time is going faster Than you know, When it starts to go, You won’t believe, how fast it goes, A second will turn into a minute, A minute will turn into an hour, An hour to a day, a day to a week, Week into a month, month into a year, A year will feel like second to you, It’s strange I know. Before you know it, The clock is ticking; your eyes are blinking, Before you know it……………. You may have missed a lot or something.

2.  Lunchtime The clock rings twelve, You’re hungry and ready, You look around for something tasty, Twelve is the time for some eating, The clock rings one, back to school, Now it is a time for learning.

3.  THE CLOCK The clock smirks to you, A tricky game he plays, The calendar shuffles his pages away, It can seem like everyday, The clock’s hand plays round and round, Tricking your eyes the seasons go as fast as a merry-go-round, A white wintry day to a blooming bliss, The green leaves and flowers to a yellow leaf crisp, And then it is a time for sledding and wintry blast, Around the two play, they very much like their game.

4.  PUSSY CATS Pussy cats are playful things, They are furry and cuddly, purring things, Have soft clean coats with pretty colors, They chase and pounce also, They climb the trees that can make them feel free. If they are inside cats, They will keep away the rats, But they best things about Pussy Cats, They will crawl up and sleep in your lap.

5.  When I was six years old, I live on a farm and friends of my parents planted seed, Alfalfa was what they wanted the fields to be, There were machines that would cut when it was usually taller than me, They would turn it into a bale, circular and full of ropes it was to be, And when they put them close to the road down around the trees. I fancied myself to get up onto them jumping from one to another, oh what glee! When I was six years old, Kittens were my fancy, I’d be taming, petting, and pretending was a favorite fun thing to do, For it grew to be part of me, cats and kittens were my thing. Companions and friends for I hardly got see any of the human friends that I made, They were my substitute could you say, to me they seemed to understand, When I was six years old, I was also blinded by the things I now know, Innocence was a friend, but as I got older innocence seemed to slip away, Sometimes I wish I could go back… just for a day… Feel the innocence of the six year old days.
